The Bible affirms in 2 Corinthians 9:6-8: that “Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

In Luke 6:38, Jesus says, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

God Himself gave us the Ultimate Gift: His Only Begotten Son. God is a Giver!

When we forget this simple truth and consider God a taker, and not a giver, we rob God of the glory due Him for all that He has already given and will continue to give. God did not give Jesus without expecting. He sowed Jesus as a seed, in order to reap a harvest – a family – you and I. Therefore, we also should give…with EXPECTATION.
