At the core of Pastor Hall’s leadership philosophy is the belief that genuine spiritual leadership is about serving, not being served. The foundation of Benjamin’s ministry is passionate service rooted in the prophet Micah’s mandate to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God. He was born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Nancy Thompson and Gilbert Hall. He is named after his grandfather, the late Rev. Benjamin J. Hall who served as Pastor of First Baptist Church of Nelsonville, OH for nearly forty years. He currently resides in Canal Winchester with his beautiful wife of 26 years, the former Dana Harris, and they are the proud parents of three adult children.
 

Pastor Hall was ordained as a Deacon in 1997 and served for twelve years in that office at Christ Memorial Missionary Baptist Church. In 2009, he was licensed into the Gospel Ministry by the Rev. Dr. Shedrick L. Fowler, and ordained by Dr. Fowler in 2013. He served as an Associate Minister for 4 years at Christ Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a member from 1997-2013. During his time at CMBC, he also served as General Superintendent of the Sunday School Ministry, President of Church Council and Assistant Director of the Board of Christian Education. In September 2013, Pastor Hall and his family joined Family Fellowship Church, where he began serving as Family Life Pastor in January 2014. 
 

Pastor Hall is a proud graduate of Walnut Ridge High School where he was a varsity letter winner in football and track and was a standout performer in their award-winning vocal music department. He earned an Associate of Science in Business from Ohio Dominican University in 2000 and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2010. In 2014, he earned a Master of Theological Studies from Methodist Theological School in Ohio (MTSO), located in Delaware. At MTSO, he was awarded the C. Everett and Mary Milburn Tilson Social Justice Grant. This award honors the Tilsons’ lifelong devotion to social justice, most notably in the civil rights movement. The grant is given to a graduating senior who has demonstrated, both in practice and profession, a commitment to a prophetic vocation of compassionate justice.

 

Pastor Hall also serves as the Director of Admissions at Methodist Theological School in Ohio, where he responsible for the successful execution of graduate recruitment for graduate-level degree and certificate programs. He is a member of the Gahanna Ministerial Alliance and a Silver Life Member of the NAACP of Greater Columbus. He enjoys reading, studying history, going out on dates with his wife, supporting his children in all their pursuits, and cheering on his Buckeyes, Lakers, and Crew SC.
